The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) has awarded NavSim Services, Inc. a contract for a Lock Operator Training Simulator system based on Wartsila/Transas NTPRO 5000 simulation software. Extensive development and modeling will be done by Wartsila engineers to simulate the locks & bridges on the Welland Canal and Maisonneuve area of the St. Lawrence. NavSim will install and maintain these simulators at SLSMC facilities in St. Catherines, Ontario and St. Lambert, Quebec.
